My feels : 230216

Lonely is a pit I get too comfortable in,
Laze does not feel as good as it used to,
Good feels like having a break you earned,
Realization is like getting all the wind knocked out of your lungs,
Its like getting a chance to breathe all over again.
Forgiveness sometimes feels like I am betraying myself,
Dread is hoping forgiveness felt like being set free,
Truth means I am not as forgiving as I aspire to be,
Hunger is, well its normal, it shouldn't be ignored,
And a full tummy begs for a nap,
Stroking a cat feels like stroking nice hair feels like stroking a fluffy carpet feels like redemption,
Love is different,
Sweet nothings are nothing and love knows that now,
Love is sunday morning lay ins and slow dancing in plain clothes,
Love has never felt more real.

The distance that was meant to be

There are 150 million kilometers between who we were,
And what we are today.
Which is exactly where we are supposed to be.

The sun and the moon are 150 million kilometers apart,
Which is exactly where they are supposed to be.

They keep this balance,
Every time their paths cross,
The whole world goes dark.

I hope you understand why I cannot let that happen.
Our eclipse is over;
I have spent a day too many in night;
I have come to love the light.

I no longer need you to shine.

Gentle reminders for a ferocious heart

Your mother kept you inside of her long enough for your heart to start beating,
It never gave up on you,
Neither did she.
You don't really like the color red,
You can stop painting your skin in its shade.

I know that pain leaves too empirical a mark,
There are no scars to show for happiness,
So hold on to this.

You are more than your diagnosis,
Or all the people who are so brilliant at hurting you.

Once, you brought down your demon to his knees,
With a single glance.

You are blessed with an insatiable heart,
A beautiful mind,
With all its complicated psyche.

Once, a reserved angel told you that she has loved you,
With all the sincerity in the world.

We are all things to be disposed of at the very end,
But your best friends cried when they hugged you that last time.

Remember

Once, a gentle giant fought for you,
Supported you until you made your own path.

You were born a nomad,
Homeless and boundless,
Guided by stars of your own making.
People would weep if you chose to drown.
